In a bid to reduce our organisation’s carbon footprint we replaced our main workshop lighting with new energy effecient LED unit, in total we have replaced 113 400W high bay lamps with 144W LED units. Our project has been part funded by Low Carbon Dorset as part of the European Regional Development Fund and will save over 105 tonnes of CO2 each year.
Bridmet have successfully attained certification to EN15085 Class 2 and ISO 3834-2, comprehensive quality management requirements for welding and fabrication accredited by UKAS and in compliance with European (EWF) and International (IIW) Standards. By satisfying these requirements Bridmet has been awarded certification by TWI to the Welding Fabricator Certification Scheme (WFCS).
During 2018-2019 Bridmet have made signifcant investment in an all new automated sheet metal cell. Our 240 shelf CSII storage system feeds 2 state of the art profiling machines. Firstly a 6Kw fibre Amada LCG AJ with industry leading cutting speeds and capacity to cut up to 15mm thick. Secondly a 3Kw EML AJ laser/punch combination with countersinking & thread forming capabilites.
